Find Out How Humans Will Look Like In 1,000 Years…And WHY?
Ever looked at pictures of cavemen and thought, man we came a long way? We have. That leads us to question how people may look 1,000 years from now. Humankind is constantly evolving and the small changes may not appear to be drastic as we witness them in real time. However, if we take an overview of each possible, small change that could occur over the next 1,000 years, we may be shocked.
Everyone paid enough attention in school to know that humans have evolved and gene mutations have determined which traits stayed and went. This was based on the need for survival in changing environments. That part of humanity has not changed. Our bodies still adapt to our environments based on our need for survival. Luckily for us, our living conditions and environments are much improved since the days we wrestled our dinner by hand, from the jungle to the table. These improvements are shown in our larger brains, smoother teeth, slightly brows and our advanced digestive systems.
As for what we have to look forward to, according to a published report by Alan Kwan, who holds a Ph.D. In computational genomics, it is pretty interesting. Our brains will continue to increase in size as it becomes more advanced. Having a bigger head may not be seen as a good thing now, but when we all look like bobble heads, it will be fine.

Due to the responses, our bodies have to Global Warming, the skin tone of people 1,000 years from now, will likely be darker. Our eyes may also widen so that we can take in more light. This theory is based on the idea that Global Warming may force humans to explore living environments further away from natural light. We may become taller and thinner as well, as that body type is better suited for dissipating increased heat on Earth because of, you guessed it, Global Warming.
The environment is only one reason humans adapt. Genetic mutations also play a part in physical changes. New eye colors and improved bodily functions may be naturally occurring within the next 1,000 years. One such eye color that researchers suspect will emerge is red. It’s hard to imagine red-eyed friends and family members.
This is all interesting, however, there are some very probable changes in technology that may counter some of the predictions mentioned above. Author, Razib Khan, a genomics and genetics doctoral candidate, thinks the predictions above are off a little.
Parents of the future will be able to manipulate genes that cause disease and illness. They will also be able to manipulate genes that determine eye and hair color, among other things. With this theory of designer babies floating around, some of nature’s plans may be derailed by humans’ access to improving technology.
In the end, the only way to know for sure what people will look like 1,000 years from now is to wait and see.
