Detoxifying Has Never Been So Simple; Veggie Juice Recipe
Vegetable juices are one of the best ways to add more readily-absorbable nutrients into your diet. This is my go-to morning veggie juice recipe that I also recommend to my Lovetarian Detox (www.lovetariandetox.com) clients.
In order to support your body’s natural detoxifying processes, start your morning with lemon water (1quart of filtered or mineral water with 1 freshly squeezed lemon), then followed by this detoxifying and alkalizing juice.
Beetroot helps you detox as it contains important bioactive agents (betaine and polyphenols), which have a wide range of physiologic effects, including liver protection by increasing enzymatic antioxidants. Beets are also high in zinc and copper which help protect hepatocytes (liver cells) against oxidative stress.
Carrots provide your body with vitamin A that supports eye and skin health while ginger reduces inflammation in the body.
Lime contains pectin fiber, which helps move the bowels and promote a healthy elimination system. On top of that it fills your body with vitamin C, which is an important antioxidant that helps in a detox process by neutralizing free radicals and boosting the immune system.

Kale, celery, and cucumbers provide your body with alkaline minerals, antioxidants, flavonoids and chlorophyll.
When it comes to detoxifying and supporting your immune system, this juice is the whole package! On top of that, it tastes absolutely delicious.
Makes about 2 cups (1 serving)
1 medium or large beetroot
1 carrot
1 medium cucumber
large bunch of kale
3-4 stalks celery
piece of ginger
half lime
Method: run all the ingredients through the juicer. Serve and enjoy!
