If Your Man Has these Qualities, He Will Never Stop Loving You!

Marriage isn’t just about waking up every morning next to the same person. It’s about doing life together: committing wholeheartedly to another person and being willing to hold on through the hard times. Women, in particular, tend to give themselves completely to their husbands- and that means that during the hard times, you might wonder if your husband is really as committed as you are. Wondering if your marriage really has what it takes to make it for the long haul? Check out these signs that your husband will never stop loving you.

1. He can be himself with you. That doesn’t necessarily mean that he lets it all hang out when you’re together, but it does mean that he’s comfortable expressing himself, sharing his true interests, and sharing his thoughts and feelings with you.

2. You want to share your best moments with each other first. Your spouse should be one of your best friends. When you have good news, he should be the first person you want to turn to- and you should be the first person he calls.

3. You share your worst moments with each other first. There’s no need to go running to someone else for comfort and security after a job loss, a death, or an unexpectedly bad diagnosis. Instead, you have each other to lean on.

4. He feels validated when he’s with you. He knows that you won’t ignore his emotions and that you’ll support him. He doesn’t have to pretend to be the big, tough guy, because he knows that you’ll be there.

5. Neither of you feels the need to “get fancy” just for it to be a date night. In fact, the two of you are just as happy to spend your evening curled up on the couch together as long as you’re with one another. It’s not about the date; it’s about the person you’re with and the quality time together. Of course, he’ll still pull out all the stops to impress you once in a while.

6. You live life together. You don’t have separate lives that just happen to join up every once in a while. Instead, you share your goals with each other and work together to meet them. That doesn’t mean that you have to be joined at the hip, just that your priorities are aligned and you’re supporting each other in the things that matter.

7. You have realistic expectations for him. There’s nothing that will break a man down faster than a wife who is constantly telling him that he isn’t good enough. On the other hand, when you have realistic expectations of your spouse and let him know- regularly- that he’s good enough for you, you create the kind of bond that can withstand anything life throws at you.

8. You two are a team. You don’t speak negatively about your spouse in front of other people, and he would never consider speaking negatively about you. You stand up for each other when other people do it, and you don’t engage in spouse-bashing- because you know that all of those things undermine your marriage.

9. Both of you make your marriage a priority. There are seasons of life when other things- job requirements, kids- get in the way no matter how hard you try, but in the end, the two of you always come back to each other. We make time in life for the things that are most important to us.

10. You know how to argue. It’s very, very rare to find a couple that doesn’t fight at all, but arguing in a positive and constructive manner instead of tearing one another down is crucial to the success of your marriage.

Keeping your marriage together can be hard. There will always be other things that get in the way. If you’re willing to commit to one another, however, you can have a successful marriage that stands the test of time.
