Effective One Day Detox To Re Charge Your Body!

Effective One Day Detox To Re Charge Your Body!

None of us plan to overload our bodies with junk, but the stresses and pressure of everyday life can leave you sprinting for the candy machine, or the nearest fast-food drive-through, or the bottom of a wine bottle. This 24 hour detox can help your body shed the garbage and tap back into your healthy, normal self.

Items you will need:

Bananas
Nuts for protein (unsalted, your preference.)
Water infused with slices of oranges and lemons
Asparagus and simply prepared protein serving for lunch
Red ginseng tea
Almond or soy milk
Blueberries

Arise naturally, but make sure you don’t eat until you’re twelve hours past your last bite of food. Your breakfast will literally Break your Fast, and aid your metabolism in resetting back to your normal food intake. Please note: times suggested below are just to provide a schedule.

8:30 a.m. – Before you eat, take an hour-long brisk walk. You want to get your heart rate up, boost your metabolism, and catch some UV rays. Additionally, exercising on an empty stomach steers your metabolism toward burning fat, since the quantity of carbs in your system is low at this time.

9:30 a.m. – Once you’ve completed your walk, load up on water infused with oranges and lemons. Citrus fruits are a great way to improve liver function, helping the body shed toxins and lose the bloated feeling that comes from too much salt or alcohol.

10:30 a.m. – Time for your breakfast smoothie! Process a large ripe banana (freeze first for best blending) almond or soy milk and unsalted nuts (or protein powder, if you prefer) until sweet and smooth. Your banana smoothie breakfast is loaded with potassium and vitamin B6, and has plenty of protein to keep you feeling satisfied.

11:30 a.m. – Now is the moment to quit beating yourself up. What’s done is done. You’ve had a rough week, or you got through the holidays, or you’ve been traveling, or whatever is going on. Time to put it behind you. Your body is an amazing machine, and you usually take very good care of it. None of us can be at our best all the time. Let the guilt go.

12:30 p.m. – Time for some aromatherapy. Light your favorite candle, or open a bottle of essential oils. Try pine-scented, for a clean smell, or sandalwood for warmth. Avoid food-scented candles; they will only be distracting.

1:30 p.m. – Enjoy a lunch of a protein of your choice, simply prepared, and steamed asparagus. Not hungry for asparagus? Keep the goal in mind. This isn’t necessarily about eating exactly what you’re hungry for, you are on a detox program. Your liver is counting on you. Asparagus is a diuretic and a natural hangover cure.

2:30 p.m.Tea Time. Specifically, red ginseng tea, because it can help your circulatory system detox. The journal Food & Function reports that this drink lessens hangover anguish and reduces plasma alcohol levels. 2 pm—Brew an ancient remedy

3:30 p.m. – Keep going, even if you really want or need a nap. Remaining upright will help your body continue to shed toxins that have built up in your system. Keep gravity on your side by spending some time taking another walk outside, or hit the treadmill.

4:30 p.m.Snack time, and the best little pill out there for what ails you is a blueberry! Blueberries are a terrific detox snack because they contain pterostilbene, an immune-boosting powerhouse.

5:30 p.m.Yoga for distressing, calming, and helping you wind down as you detox. Per the University of Pennsylvania, twenty minutes of gentle yoga is as good as a sleeping pill for banishing insomnia and improving your ability to rest and rejuvenate. It’s during sleep that your brain can shed harmful toxins, so long consistent periods of rest are critically important for a full-body detox.

6:30 p.m. Time to start thinking about getting some sleep. While you may not be ready for bed just yet, curling up under the covers may be your best bet to allow your body to continue to shed toxins and stresses that have built up over time.
