Taking about caffeine consumption, consuming 300-500mg a day of caffeine (or to 2-3 large cups of coffee) is safe, as about seventy percent of caffeine is converted to paraxanthine, which has no apparent toxic effects.

Drinking excessive amount of coffee (more than 500 mg caffeine a day) may cause symptoms of nervousness, irritability anxiety and effects of palpitation, agitation, and tremors.
