What causes That Tingling Sensation in your Limbs and How to Treat it?

What causes that tingling sensation in your limbs and how to treat it?
You know that feeling when one of your body parts or limbs fall asleep? This is technically called paresthesia, and it’s caused by the caused by the compression of specific nerves, when you put excess pressure on a nerve, that nerve will stop sending impulses normally, as you might have experienced when you sit cross-legged or sleep with your arm above your head.

When you interfere with this transfer by squeezing the nerve pathways, you don’t have full feeling in that body part, and your brain has trouble telling the body parts what to do, this pressure can also squeeze arteries, stopping them from carrying nutrients to body cells. Without these nutrients, the nerve cells may behave abnormally, which can further interfere with communicating bodily sensations.
Nerves, like well-worn hose, may take some time to work properly and you may feel some tingling, “pins and needles” during the process, but once this pressure is relieved, your nerve will start to function normally again and you can now move your hand, legs, arms or feet.

If this has ever happened to you, you know that there are actually a few distinct sensations you go through as your body part “wakes up.” The tingling may be followed by a more uncomfortable burning sensation, before your body part finally returns to normal this is because the nerve fibers have different surrounding structures

To relieve the numbing and tingling sensations, get your leg moving. Stand up and walk around on your affected leg, there are also some natural home remedies that can be address to the causes of these nerve issues, such as:
Magnesium oil applied directly to the affected area or submerging the body or body part in an Epsom salt bath can restore needed magnesium to the body and to the area, which can soothe misfiring nerves.
Massaging the area with soothing essential oils or using aromatherapy may also soothe the nerves directly or overall for a reduction in nerve symptoms.

Chamomile, peppermint, and lavender are good herbal remedies for nerve issues.
If you often experience your leg falling asleep, you may have a medical condition that requires treatment since there could be other diseases affecting your central nervous system, such as a stroke, encephalitis or multiple sclerosis. This is also common with any disease that destroys nerve function, such as Fibromyalgia.
