Since this disorder is especially prevalent in women, it is important to make sure you are getting a good night’s sleep.

Treat Sleep Apnea and Get a Better Night’s Sleep

Adults need seven to eight hours of quality sleep every night. As you sleep, your body slows down and performs vital functions such as detoxing. If these things don’t occur, toxins build-up, and colds and other diseases may occur. If you have cancer or want to prevent cancer, your body needs adequate uninterrupted sleep.

Here are several tips to get reduce the symptoms, and get a better night’s sleep.

• Reduce all types of stress. Encourage peace and calm.
• Eliminate alcohol from your diet.
• Stop smoking.
• If you are overweight, lose weight.
• Sleep on your side for better airflow. You can use pillows for support.
• Turn off all technology at least an hour before bedtime.

Your doctor and the medical community will have more extensive treatments to monitor your sleep patterns if you have any symptoms.
