How to Get Rid of Cellulite in Thighs at Home

Chances are, you’re sitting at your computer reading this while there are dimples of fat on your thighs and hips. That’s perfectly fine. I have them, too. All we women have them eventually. If you’re tired of looking at them, here are some popular treatments you can do at home.

1. Eat Tomatoes or Tomato Paste

So, apparently, tomatoes can help you to reduce the amount of cellulite in your body. I don’t know how true this is because I eat pizza with tomato sauce at least three times a week and my cellulite has only gotten worse. But, apparently, scientists and their little lab equipment have proof that a certain chemical called lycopene, which is present in tomatoes, can help to reduce the amount of cellulite within your body. Lycopene is a rich nutrient that can help to restore the collagen in your skin. Collagen is a compound that causes your skin to maintain its tightness and smooth appearance.

So, boosting your collagen production can help to reduce the look of your jiggly bits. That’s good to know. And, according to these same scientists, tomato paste is very rich in lycopene, so it’s a great alternative to tomatoes. Just be sure that you eat tomato paste from a glass jar instead of from a can. Tin cans contain BPA which is an industrial chemical. And sounds pretty scary, in my opinion. I wonder if I can get away with using tomato paste on my pizzas instead of tomato sauce.

2. Drink More Water

My doctor is always telling me to drink more water to improve my health. I’m sure your doctor tells you the same thing. I didn’t think there was an actual legitimate reason to increase my daily water intake, but there are actually several. In addition to aiding with digestion and improving cellular functions, increasing your daily water intake can actually prove to be an effective cellulite treatment. Just think of your skin as a giant sponge. Your skin loves to drink up and absorb water. Your skin needs water to remain supple, moisturized, and firm. Adding more glasses of water to your meals every day can not only help to reduce the look of your wobbly layers but it can also help you to lose weight which will reduce the amount of fat present under your skin. I’m no doctor, but having less fat under your skin sounds like a great way to slim down and smooth out your skin.

3. Vinegar and Honey Scrub

I would’ve never thought to combine these two items together to create a cellulite treatment scrub, but this sounds too good not to try. The basic premise behind this scrub is that you combine one part apple cider vinegar with two parts water. Mix these two liquids together thoroughly before adding a few drops of honey to the mixture. Once combined, rub the mixture over your body on the areas that need it. Leave the mixture on for a few minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.

The apple cider vinegar will help to reduce the appearance of skin dimples by detoxifying your body and boosting your body’s ability to drain toxins and excess fluids. Deposits under the skin can also be the accumulation of fluids in addition to fats, so boosting your body’s ability to drain fluids that are being retained in your body fat will reduce the dimpled appearance of your fatty deposits. This sounds positively luxurious. I can’t wait to try this cellulite treatment myself.
