1.Endurance

If you are able to run a mile in less than 20 minutes, you have very good cardiovascular health. Individuals who are able to run a mile in less than 20 minutes have very great aerobic capacity, which is a strong indication of having healthy lungs and a strong heart!

2.Strength

Strength is another aspect of health that most people often neglect. Individuals who can bench press, squat and deadlift at least their body weight have strong and agile muscles. Individuals who regularly engage in strength training also have better bone density. Strong bones are highly correlated with posture and overall spine health.

3.Flexibility

Can you bend over and touch your toes without bending your knees? Can you touch the mid-section of your upper back with your hand? If so, you have very great mobility and flexibility. Often people ignore the importance of flexibility and mobility as a sign of good health. For those who do not regularly stretch, joint and bone problems are bound to come. Individuals who also lack mobility in their knees, ankles, legs and shoulders are more prone to injuries that can end up being devastating.

4.Quality of Sleep

Are you sleeping at least eight hours a night? If so, give yourself a round of applause! People who sleep less than eight hours of night have a higher risk of developing a variety of cardiovascular ailments that lead to death.

5. Stress

Regardless if you are skinny or are carrying a few extra pounds, no one is immune to anxiety and stress. Stress and anxiety are high risk factors for the development of cardiovascular disease. If you are eating a balanced diet, a once in a while fast or splurge will not hurt you. However, starving yourself for weight loss purposes or not controlling your appetite is a sign of something serious!

8. Relationships with people

Your interaction and connection with people is another great sign of health. If you have a good number of friends and colleagues who you socialize with on an occasional basis, more than likely you have great social awareness.

9. Alcohol Consumption

Healthy people know when and where not to drink. Having an occasional night cap or a cocktail over the weekend is one thing. However, drinking to medicate oneself is another.

10. Perception of Self

Congratulations to you if you are self-confident and have a healthy sense of self-esteem. Healthy individuals not only have a very great sense of physical health, but also mental health. Unhealthy individuals wrestle with negative and depressing perceptions of themselves.
