We all love and crave our Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches or just simply spreading it on a banana and chowing down. However you choose to enjoy this delicious nutty spread it never disappoints our taste buds.

Peanut Butter was invented in 1890 by an American Dr. who used it as a protein Substitute for people who couldn’t chew meat.

Many are concerned if Peanut Butter is healthy; some even categorize Peanut Butter as unhealthy because it contains both sodium and saturated fat. This assumptions is incorrect just because it contains saturated fat doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s bad for you! Olive Oil, Wheat Germ, and Tofu which are all considered to be healthy foods have some saturated fat!

To Determine how healthy a food is or isn’t for you it takes the combination of all the nutrients found in the food. Peanut Butter also contains some fiber, vitamins, minerals and potassium.

Studies have shown people who include Nuts and Peanut Butter in their diet are less likely to develop heart disease and type two diabetes!
