3 Scariest Parasites In The Human Body

Parasites are organisms that live inside humans and animals called a host, they cannot produce their own food and energy and are dependent on the host to survive. They get their nutritional requirements from the host organism. There are numerous parasites in our environment that enter our body and affect our health, some through contaminated water or food, some live on the skin and hair.

Common parasites include:

1. Stomach and intestinal worms (threadworm, hookworm)

Parasitic worms are very small in size and can live inside our bodies. Usually we get their eggs through swallowing something contaminated. Some young worms or larvae enter the body through skin. After entering the body, worms hatch out of the eggs and cause sickness. They usually take nutrition from our body before it is digested so that we do not get enough nutrition. Worms can spread to other parts of the body, like blood and the liver, and adversely affect their functioning.
