Witnessing death, physical or sexual assault, accidents, child abuse, combat, and some other traumatic events are common events that create PTSD in about 5.2 million adults during a given year. PTSD, stands for port-traumatic stress disorder, it is a severe anxiety disorder. Some of its symptoms are: numbness, guilt, nightmares, hallucinations, insomnia, self- destruction. There isn’t a specific medication to treat PTSD , but a few drugs have been proved to reduce this symptoms. PTSD is a big topic of interest due to the fact that a large percentage of the veterans have experienced it.
