According to the Council for the International Promotion of Costa Rica Medicine (PROMED) and the Costa Rican Tourism Board (ICT) millions of U.S residents lack health insurance, while Costa Rican health care system ranks fourth in Latin America in terms of quality, and also accepts any health insurance internationality and affordable pricing, which makes it a more tempting option for those of medical need. Of course, the climate and location are huge pluses.
