Pomegranate is an excellent source of antioxidants. Antioxidants are beneficial in fighting against cancer and also are considered as anti-agining nutrients. The reason is that antioxidants help our body to eliminate the cells with damaged DNAs that may potentially become cancerous. As the result, pomegranate is considered as top-notch fruit in fight against prostate, colon and breast cancers.

Also pomegranate contains some anti-inflammatory agents that may reduce the symptoms of some chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
