Walk your way to better health

More than 6 in 10 people walk for exercise, transportation or even taking out their dogs. The good news is that the ratio of people who walk at least once per week for 10 minutes or more is increasing (from 56% in 2005 to 62% in 2010). The bad news is that less than half of all adults get the recommended amount of physical activity (2 and 1/2 hours or 150 minutes a week of aerobic physical activity).
