How to use Castor Oil for Thickening and Regrowing hair, Eyelashes and Eyebrows!
If you’re looking for a proven, inexpensive remedy to regrow and strengthen your hair, eyelashes and eyebrows, add castor oil to your beauty arsenal. Extracted from castor beans, this yellow, thick oil comes from the plant (Ricinus communis) and is well known for many health and beauty properties.
Castor oil contains ricinoleic acid which has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. If you have scalp conditions causing you to lose hair to a bacterial or fungal infection, castor oil is natural way to remedy these problems and stimulate hair regrowth. It is also effective in treating dandruff and dry scalp. Castor oil is high in omega fatty acids which will nourish the scalp and hair follicles leading to healthier hair.
When purchasing castor oil, look for organic, cold-pressed oil for optimal results.
Use the following method a couple of times a week on your hair and scalp to stimulate hair growth:
• Mix with equal parts of a lighter oil to make application to the scalp easier. Jojoba, olive and coconut oil are good choices.
• Distribute the oil evenly to the scalp with your fingertips using a circular motion to stimulate the scalp and promote blood flow.
• Cover your hair with a towel or shower cap and let the oil penetrate the scalp at least two to eight hours or overnight to allow the oil to deeply penetrate the scalp and hair.
• Wash thoroughly with shampoo to make sure all traces of the oil are washed away. Follow with your favorite conditioner.

If you’re looking to add shine to your hair or fix split ends, apply a tiny, pea-sized amount to the ends for optimal results. Avoid using too much oil as it will weigh down your hair and make it look greasy. You may have to experiment to find the right amount of oil that works for you.
For thicker eyebrows and eyelashes, simply rub a little oil onto the area daily with your fingertips. Be gentle and avoid getting the oil in your eyes.
Studies show castor oil has anti-inflammatory properties that promote wound healing. With its thickness and ability to penetrate multiple skin layers, castor oil is also effective at reducing the appearance of scar tissue and stretch marks. Plump up and hydrate lips by applying castor oil daily. The oil’s thickness means it won’t easily rub off, giving it optimal time to rejuvenate dry, chapped lips.
